Committed to health and sustainability through our following programs: Green school, Healthy School and Scholar Sport Promotion. We are also committed to Europe through the Comenius and NETINVET projects, through the foreign exchange program with European countries such as Germany, United Kingdom and France, as well as with transnational courses. Evidently, we are also committed to a quality public school system and improvement plans. Therefore, we are currently participating in the “Continuous improvement and quality Programme”, with annual audits and certifications since the 2005-06 school year with the UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015 and the ISO 14001:2015. This centre is also in possession of the Excellence diploma, according to the E2MODEL since 2010. The centre is also supportive with our students' professional future and their employability and labour insertion. FOUNDATION OF THE CENTER
The origin of our High School goes back to 1973 with the installation of the first VET workshops in the Marianao Palace, which the following year were expanded to Can Massalleras. That is until the 1980-81 school year, when the equipment was moved to the newly built Camps Blancs IFP. During the next school year (1982-83), the electrical and delineation specialties were relocated again to Marianao Castle, as a section of the Camps Blancs IFP. It was then, during the 1983-84 academic year, that the new MarianaoHigh School was officially created. The following year, the specialties of Hairdressing and Aesthetics were added, and later on, so was the baccalaureate.
The first professors that were in our High School were the following:
Drawing: Andreu Mesas and Lluís García.
Organization and manufacturing project: Leopoldo Cerdà.
Delineation practices: Enric Doñate.
Electricity practices: Javier Biel, Paco Orfila, Joan Aromíi and Joan Corominas.
Social-Humanistic: Mari Creu Pascual.
Mathematics: Jhoan Watemberg Lubinsky.
English: Marisa López.
THE CURRENT BUILDING
In 1987-1988 MarianaoIFP left the Castle and moved to the current building, which had just been built. Then, the specialties of hairdressing and aesthetics disappeared. Later, in the 1995-1996 academic year, ESO was introduced. In 1998 the old Vocational Training disappeared and the new Vocational training coursesbegan. Electricity also disappeared, delineation was transformed into Mechanical Project Development (mechanical manufacturing professional group) and the Vocational training courses of Commerce and Marketing and Computer Science were implemented.
